Multi-Omics-Analysen enthüllen Wirt-Mikroben-Interaktionen bei atopischer Dermatitis und Psoriasis.

Bei Neurodermitis und Psoriasis spielt nicht nur das Immunsystem verrückt. Auch die Hautbewohner ändern sich. Forschende haben jetzt genauer auf Pilze und Bakterien geschaut. Vor allem die Hefepilze der Gattung Malassezia geraten aus dem Gleichgewicht. In entzündeter Haut sind die Pilze schlechter mit Bakterien vernetzt. Bei Neurodermitis nimmt eine Art namens Malassezia arunalokei ab, während der Problemkeim Staphylococcus aureus zunimmt. Das passt zu starken Entzündungszeichen mit dem Botenstoff IL 17. Bei Psoriasis hängen die Pilzänderungen mit IL 17 und mit Fettstoffwechsel in der Haut zusammen. Die Autoren hoffen, man kann das Hautmikrobiom später zur Einschätzung der Krankheitsaktivität und für neue Therapien nutzen.
