Transarterielle periartikuläre Embolisation bei entzündlicher rheumatischer Monoarthritis: eine Machbarkeitsstudie.

Wenn das Knie oder ein anderes Gelenk bei Psoriasisarthritis ständig feuert und keine Therapie mehr hilft, könnte es in Zukunft eine neue Option geben. Bei der sogenannten TAPE schieben Ärztinnen einen dünnen Katheter über eine Arterie bis an das betroffene Gelenk und geben dort ein Medikament in die kleinen Gefäße. In einer kleinen Studie mit 14 Menschen sank der Schmerz stark schon am ersten Tag und blieb bis nach drei Monaten deutlich geringer. Viele konnten ihr Gelenk besser bewegen und Schwellungen gingen zurück. Schwere Nebenwirkungen traten nicht auf. Wichtig, das Verfahren wurde erst bei wenigen Patientinnen getestet und gilt noch als Versuch. Wer starke Beschwerden in einem einzelnen Gelenk hat sollte das im spezialisierten Zentrum ansprechen.
