Abstract Psoriasiform adverse cutaneous reactions to immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy for cancer are potentially treatment-limiting. Few studies have investigated long-term outcomes related to exacerbations of pre-existing psoriasis and their impact on the efficacy of cancer treatment. Understanding outcomes in patients with autoimmune disease is important to guide management of these reactions and avoid unnecessary exclusion from ICI therapy. We conducted a retrospective cohort study

For patients with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis can be a painful comorbid condition that is often undiagnosed. It is therefore essential that more research is done to understand which treatments for psoriasis relieve both dermatologic and joint symptoms. This analysis aimed to compare the effects of deucravacitinib vs. placebo or apremilast on joint pain and the impact of musculoskeletal symptoms at weeks 16 and 24 in patients from the POETYK psoriasis (PSO-1; NCT03624127) and POETYK PSO second

Justification and objectives: Topical therapy is vital in the management of psoriasis. In recent years there have been multiple advances and changes in the management of psoriatic patients that justify a review and update of the use of topical therapy. Experts from the Spanish Psoriasis Working Group (GPS) of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology Venereology (AEDV) have developed a set of recommendations for the treatment of psoriasis based on the best available evidence and experts' opinion. Metho

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory disease mediated by the innate and adaptive immune systems, and its pathogenesis involves multiple aspects, including abnormal interleukin (IL)-23-Th17 axis, dysfunction of Tregs and other immune cells, and a complex relationship between keratinocytes and the vascular endothelium. Dysfunction of mesenchymal stem cells in psoriatic skin may also be the main reason for the dysregulated inflammatory response. Mesenchymal stem cells, a type of adult stem cells wit

Introduction Psoriasis is a chronic immune-mediated disease with significant systemic implications. Tildrakizumab, an IL-23p19 inhibitor, has demonstrated efficacy in moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Higher doses may be beneficial for patients with elevated body weight or greater disease burden. This study evaluates the effectiveness of tildrakizumab 200 mg in a real-world setting, analyzing outcomes based on weight, Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI), body mass index (BMI), and prior biol

Psoriasis has been linked to various diet-related comorbidities such as metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Evidence is lacking on the role of diet in the management of psoriasis and its comorbidities. We aimed to characterise the dietary patterns and quality of diet in individuals living with psoriasis and to assess whether psoriasis severity and comorbidities are associated with diet quality. Using the UK Biobank cohort, individuals identified with psoriasis via se

Psoriasis is an immune-mediated chronic inflammatory disease. Increasing evidence suggests a close association between ribosome biogenesis (RiboSis) and the pathogenesis of psoriasis. However, the precise mechanisms remain unclear. We first obtained bulk transcriptome and single-cell RNA sequencing datasets from the GEO database. Subsequently, differential expression analysis (DEG) and weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA) were performed, preliminarily identifying 11 candidate bio

Psoriasis pathogenesis involves dysregulated immune responses, yet the role of protein prenylation (particularly PGGT1B-mediated geranylgeranylation) in macrophage-driven inflammation remains poorly understood. This study aims to explore the role and molecular mechanism of protein geranylgeranyltransferase type I subunit beta (PGGT1B) in the development of psoriasis. Myeloid cell-specific PGGT1B gene knockout mice were generated, and a mouse psoriasis model was established with imiquimod to stud

Background/Objectives: Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease increasingly linked to psychiatric and behavioral comorbidities, including depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. Shared inflammatory pathways, including elevated IL-6, TNF-α, and IL-17, may link psoriasis with psychiatric disorders such as depression and anxiety. The bidirectional interaction between systemic inflammation and mental health may exacerbate the disease burden and affect treatment outcomes. The objec

Abstract Objective: We aimed to identify and characterize distinct subgroups of patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) based on their responses to the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis International Society Health Index (ASAS HI), using latent class analysis (LCA). Methods: We performed a latent class analysis on 17 dichotomous ASAS HI items in a cohort of patients with PsA (n: 90). A Gaussian mixture model was applied, and the optimal number of classes was selected based on the Akaike (AIC) and

Background Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition driven by immune dysregulation, significantly diminishing patients' quality of life. The advent of targeted biological therapies and small molecule inhibitors has transformed the treatment landscape for moderate-to-severe Psoriasis. Nevertheless, there remains a scarcity of comparative efficacy and safety data between these therapeutic classes, highlighting the need for a systematic review to evaluate their relative performance.Object

Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease, encompass a heterogenous group of conditions associated with chronic inflammation. Systemic treatments for patients with IMIDs include parenterally delivered monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that disrupt specific cytokine and cytokine receptor binding interactions, and orally delivered small molecules that inhibit certain enzymes involved in the regulation of inflammatory signaling.

Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a potentially life-threatening infrequent immune-mediated disease characterized by rapid-onset of erythematous plaques, sterile pustules, and systemic inflammation. Spesolimab, a monoclonal antibody targeting the interleukin-36 receptor, is a novel treatment for GPP. However, GPP's low incidence and limited evidence represents a challenge in determining its real-world efficacy. This review aims to explore the clinical use of spesolimab in a real-world sett
